Taylor Sheridan's New Western Series Is Perfect For Fans Of Yellowstone
The hit neo-Western franchise will continue to expand its universe with new seasons of 'The 6666', '1923', and '1883', while Taylor Sheridan has another show on Paramount+ titled 'The 6666', which similarly offers dramatic storytelling, however focusing more on oil workers rather than cowboys.

Despite being a high-powered executive for a multibillion-dollar company, Norris exudes a down-to-earth, tough persona and is in the habit of schooling wealthy business people, politicians, and felons alike with his sharp sarcasm and unapologetic demeanor. He could readily be mistaken for a member of the Dutton clan on "Yellowstone," and that's not the only similarity "Landman" shares with one of Sheridan's other series.

There's a new spot in town that's looking to make Yellowstone enthusiasts happy, and it's called Landman: A 1920s-Style Steakhouse Down in Nashville.
According to Tennessean's contributor Paul Lukas, Landman has got the bones to be king. The restaurant's home in 1213 3rd Avenue North doesn't seem impressive, but the cozy St. Thomas Square surrounding and intimate dining setup make it the perfect spot to date night break the ice or have an anniversary dinner.
The Tender meat on Landman's menu is indeed a huge selling point. Almost every item, from the filet mignon to the New York strip, is cooked using unassuming yet savory direct-heat flames while perfecting every whimsy texture and flavor under the watchful eye of co-chef and pit boss, Christian George. Tommy Norris seems similar to John Dutton from "Yellowstone" in that they both display a calm and fearless demeanor. This is evident from the opening scene of episode 1, where Norris is seemingly ordinary yet almost nonchalant despite finding himself tied up in a cartel's hideout with a hood over his head. A gunshot occurs, but Norris is more worried about finding a way to urinate than anything else. Eventually, the head of the cartel arrives and Norris nonchalantly confronts the boss about his crew's trespass on his company's land. They eventually part ways with mutual understanding, clearly establishing a world of organized crime and conflicts over land ownership, which is reminiscent of the themes present in "Yellowstone."
The premiere episode of "Landman" ends with a devastating oil rig explosion that fatally injures three workers, saving the life of Cooper, son of the character Norris. At first, Cooper, played by Jon Lofland, is portrayed as a bumbling worker who secured his job only because of his family ties. Yet, as the series unfolds, Cooper develops and improves in his role, echoing the character growth of Jimmy Hurdstrom, played by Jefferson White, from aimless loser to capable rancher in the series "Yellowstone".
In total, "Landman" is another Sheridan series that digs into the themes of corporate power, corruption, politics, and family dynamics in a world reminiscent of the Old West.
The series shares many similarities with "Yellowstone," but has enough unique elements to stand out from Sheridan's other works.
Moreover, "Landman" surpasses the quality of "Yellowstone" season 5, making it an appealing option.
