Mike Gesicki earned an extra contract incentive in Bengals’ win over Steelers

To wrap up the regular schedule.

The Bengals badly need a win to stay in the running for the playoffs, starting with a promising opening drive that resulted in a touchdown in the first quarter.

Tight end Mike Gesicki was one of the players to make a notable catch during the first drive.

With his first catch of the night, Gesicki earned himself a $125,000 bonus when he surpassed 600 receiving yards on the season. He ended the 19-17 win with eight receptions for 68 yards.

For the season, Gesicki caught 65 passes for 665 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Bengals signed the free agent tight end on a very affordable contract primarily because he expressed a strong desire to team up with Joe Burrow.

Considering his performance during the season and the valuable contributions he's made to the offense, there's no doubt that he should be back with the Bengals next year.

Gesicki should be one of the no-brainers this offseason, other than Chase and Higgins.

Kudos to Gesicki for his well-deserved bonus! Fingers crossed we get to see him rocking the Bengals' colors again next season!
